Heater Fan Motor
The car heater has a fan driven by a Bosch electric motor, part number 0 130 063 013. Two additional resistors allow three fan speeds to be achieved. Maximum power consumption at 12 V is 115 W. The fan is switched on either by a rotary switch installed on some cars to the right and below the instrument cluster, or by a toggle switch on basic-configuration cars.
Engine cooling system fan electric motor
The engine cooling system fan is driven by a Bosch electric motor, part number 0 130 107 218, with a power of 80 W at 12 V. The electric motor is switched on by a thermal switch installed in the thermostat housing, using an auxiliary relay installed in the mounting block.
