Rear window wiper and headlight washer

The Bosch brand rear window cleaner consists of a gearmotor, a lever and a brush, a thermal bimetallic fuse for overload protection. The wiper operation mode is intermittent. The scheme of inclusion of a cleaner of back glass is presented on fig. 7.75.



Switch. installed on the instrument panel. to the right of the steering column allows you to turn on either the windscreen wiper only or the rear window wiper with washer.

Wiper catalog numbers: for hatchbacks - 0 392 810 020, complete with gearmotor - 0 390 206 500; for station wagons 0 392 810 021, complete with gearmotor 0 390 206 021.

Headlight washer

Headlight washers were installed on some cars, consisting of an electric pump and a time relay. The scheme of inclusion of a washer of headlights is presented on fig. 7.76.



The headlight washer is activated at the same time as the windshield washer pump when the headlights are on.

Rear window heater

To heat the rear window on the car, a heating element with a power of 120 W at a supply voltage of 12 V is installed. The heater is turned on by a switch with a built-in control LED located to the right of the instrument cluster. The time relay automatically turns off the power 10 minutes after the heater is turned on. The scheme of inclusion of a heater of back glass is presented on fig. 7.77.
