The Bosch rear window wiper consists of a gear motor, a lever and a brush, and a thermal bimetallic fuse for overload protection. The wiper operates in intermittent mode. The rear window wiper connection diagram is shown in Fig. 7.75.

The switch, mounted on the instrument panel to the right of the steering column, allows you to turn on either only the windshield wiper or the rear window wiper and washer.
Windscreen wiper part numbers: for hatchbacks - 0 392 810 020, complete with gear motor - 0 390 206 500; for station wagons 0 392 810 021, complete with gear motor 0 390 206 021.
Headlight washer
Some cars were equipped with headlight washers consisting of an electric pump and a time relay. The headlight washer connection diagram is shown in Fig. 7.76.

The headlight washer is activated simultaneously with the windshield washer electric pump if the headlights are on.
Rear window defroster
To heat the rear window, the car is equipped with a heating element with a power of 120 W at a supply voltage of 12 V. The heater is switched on by a switch with a built-in control LED, located to the right of the instrument cluster. The time relay automatically switches off the power 10 minutes after the heater is switched on. The wiring diagram for the rear window heater is shown in Fig. 7.77.
