Power windows and central locking

Electric windows

Some cars are equipped with power windows of the front doors. The power windows are switched on by switches installed in the armrests of the front doors. The second switch on the left front door can control the power window on the right door. On fig. 7.78 the scheme of inclusion of power windows is presented.



Power is supplied through a relay and a 30 A thermal bimetallic fuse installed in the mounting block.

Centralized door locking

Some cars are equipped with a system of centralized locking of door locks when locking the left front door with a key. The left front door has a switch that, depending on the turn of the key, turns on or off the door lock electromagnets. The left front door is locked and unlocked with a key. Time relay brand SWF. catalog number 696 327, included in the switch circuit, supplies power to the electromagnetic locking drives for 1.0 - 1.5 seconds. This relay also works for locking. and unlocking locks. It is installed under the instrument panel, behind the glove box, and a 30 A thermal bimetallic fuse is installed in the mounting block. The relay is included in the circuit using two gray and black connectors. The scheme for switching on the centralized blocking of door locks is shown in fig. 7.79.

Trunk lid lock

On some cars with a sedan body, a locking system for opening the trunk lid is installed, consisting of an electromagnet and a relay connected to a generator and activated after the engine is stopped (see fig. 7.80). The relay is mounted on a bracket under the instrument panel, near the pedals.

Radio equipment

To install a radio radio there is a socket on the center console, a mono loudspeaker - an elliptical socket in the instrument panel, a stereo - two round sockets on the sides of the instrument panel. Figure 7.81 shows the dimensions for mounting the antenna on the front right fender.

Watch

On some cars between the front cover and the rear-view mirror, a clock with a digital display is installed (pic. 7.82).




In addition to information about the time of day, this watch performs the functions of a stopwatch and a calendar. After working on the vehicle with the battery disconnected, the clock must be set to the working position. Mode selection and initial data setting is performed as follows:

• the time appears on the screen after the ignition is turned on. To set the exact time, use the clock setting button 5 (1 to 12 with a letter «A» on the right for the period from 0 to 12 hours, letter «R «for the period from 12 to 24 hours) and mine 7. Button 2 is used to start the clock (flashing dots on screen 4);
• To enter the date, press button 6 once even if the ignition is off. The date will be on the screen for 4 seconds. To set the date, press and hold button 6 and simultaneously press button 5 to set the date and button 7 to set the month;
• to turn on the stopwatch mode, press button 6 twice. To start and stop the stopwatch, use button 2, and button 1 to set it to «0». In stopwatch mode, LED 3 flashes. The stopwatch can also work when the ignition is off.

NOTE: The brightness of the indication decreases when the side light is turned on.
