Examination


1. This system has a self-test mode, which is activated when one of the interlock microswitches is actuated eight times within ten seconds. The buzzer signals the inclusion of the self-test mode, as well as that there are no faults in the system. If a problem is found, please contact your dealer. The central blocking module also contains an alarm system module.

Withdrawal

2. To remove this module, first remove the lower right panel from the front panel (right hand drive models) or glove box (left hand drive models),

3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the module from the bracket located under the front panel.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the module.

6. Please note that non-theft alarm models use a different module.

7. The procedure is described in paragraph 14 (removing the front door handle).

8. The procedure is described in paragraphs 14, 19 or 22 (removing the lock cylinder).

Door lock motors

Trunk lid/tailgate lock motor


10. Remove the lock (see paragraph 19 or 22).

11. Remove the two screws securing the motor and pull it out of the body, disconnecting the wiring from it (see fig. 23.11, a, b).


Installation


12. Installation of all components - in the reverse order of removal.
