Removal
1. Using a thin, strong rope or fishing line, separate the mirror from the knot, breaking the adhesive bond between them. Your assistant should hold the mirror in place.
2. If you are reinstalling the mirror, thoroughly wipe the installation area with a clean, lint-free cloth dampened with methyl alcohol. Wait a short time (about one minute) for the alcohol to evaporate. Clean the windshield trim in the same manner.
Installation
3. The surface where the mirror, windshield pad and adhesive pad are installed must not be touched or contaminated, otherwise the adhesive bond will be weak.
4. The mirror must be installed at an ambient temperature of at least 20°C.
5. After thoroughly cleaning the mating surfaces, remove the protective tape from one side of the adhesive pad and press the pad onto the surface of the mirror base.
6. If you are installing the mirror on a new windshield, you will also need to remove the protective tape from the windshield trim.
7. Using a hair dryer, heat the surface of the mirror base and the adhesive pad to a temperature of 50-70°C for about 30 seconds. Peel off the protective tape from the other side of the adhesive pad installed on the surface of the mirror base. Align the mirror base with the pad on the windshield and press the mirror for at least two minutes to ensure reliable adhesion.
8. Adjust the mirror no earlier than 30 minutes after gluing it.
