Removal
Front seat
1. On models with power or heated seats or with side airbags, disconnect the negative battery cable (chapter 5A) and move the wire away from the battery.
2. Remove the seat belt from the seat and move the seat forward as far as it will go.
3. Unscrew the screws and remove the covers covering the mounting bolts. Then unscrew the rear support bolts (see Fig. 27.3,a,b).


4. Move the seat all the way back.
5. On models with power or heated seats, disconnect the wiring harness connectors at the seat base (see Fig. 27.5).

6. On models with side airbags, remove the seat base trim to access the airbag electrical connector. Note which way it is installed.
7. Unscrew the bolts of the front supports and remove the seat (see Fig. 27.7).

Rear seat cushion
8. Tilt the rear seat cushion forward.
Note: Please note that on some models the cushion is secured with screws that must be removed first. Remove the mounting bolts from the hinges on each side of the cushion (see Fig. 27.8).

9. Remove the seat cushion.
Backrest of the rear seat
10. Tilt the cushion and both rear seat backs forward.
11. Unfasten the backrest trim elements (if any) and remove them.
12. Unscrew the mounting bolts (see Fig. 27.12).

13. Remove the rear seat back.
Rear seat side cushion
14. Turn the rear seat back forward.
15. On some models, after unscrewing the screws, the side cushion must be pulled forward to release it from the clips. On other models, you just need to pull the side cushion up, releasing it from the clips.
Installation
16. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the bolts to the required torque.
