Replacing the engine cooling radiator fan control unit

You will need a Phillips screwdriver.

1. Place the vehicle on a lift or pit.

2. Remove the engine mudguard (see Removal and installation of mudguard and crankcase protection).



3. Squeeze the retainer of the block B of the wiring harness and disconnect the block from the electric fan control unit. Remove screw A that secures control unit B to the electric fan housing.

NOTE: Further operations for replacing the electric fan control unit are shown on the removed electric fan cover for clarity.

4. Take the additional resistance away from the casing, wring out the latch..



5.... disconnect the electric fan wiring harness connector..

6….and remove the control unit.

NOTE: Pay attention to the labeling of the electric fan control unit. To replace, purchase a unit with the same marking.

7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
