To replace the additional resistance of the heater electric fan, do the following.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Under the instrument panel on the left side of the heater, press the lock of the wiring block of the additional resistance of the heater electric fan and disconnect the block from the resistance.
NOTE: Shown with instrument panel removed for clarity.

3. Unscrew the two screws securing the additional resistance to the heater casing and remove it.
4. Install the additional heater fan resistor in the reverse order of removal.
To replace the recirculation flap drive motor, follow these steps:.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the glove box (see Removing and installing the instrument panel).

3. Through the hole in the instrument panel that opened after removing the glove compartment, on the right side of the heater, disconnect the wiring harness connector from the recirculation flap drive electric motor by squeezing the fastening clips.

4. Remove the two screws securing the electric motor to the heater air intake and remove the electric motor.
5. Install the recirculation flap drive motor in the reverse order of removal.
To replace the air distribution flap drive motor, follow these steps:.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the glove box (see Removing and installing the instrument panel).

3. Through the hole in the instrument panel that opened after removing the glove compartment, on the right side of the heater, squeeze the fastening clips of the air distribution flap drive motor wiring harness block…

4….and disconnect it from the electric motor.

5. Unscrew the two screws securing the electric motor to the heater casing and remove the electric motor.
6. Install the air distribution flap drive motor in the reverse order of removal.
