Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and the connector from the electric fan. Unscrew the two bolts of the upper mount of the electric fan casing and loosen the two lower bolts. Remove the casing with the electric fan as an assembly.
Remove the retaining ring and washer from the end of the shaft and remove the impeller. Separate the electric motor from the casing by unscrewing the three bolts. Install the electric fan in the reverse order of removal. After installing the electric fan, check its operation.
For engines of GLA, GMA, GPA models, the fan turns on after the ignition is turned on; for engines of other models, it is necessary to disconnect the connector from the electric fan switch sensor and short-circuit its terminals.
