Oil filter replacement

            0

On 1.1/1.4i/1.6i engines, the oil filter is located on the side of the engine housing. In a diesel engine, the filter is screwed onto a bracket placed on the side of the engine housing.

The filter has a filter element and a safety valve that opens when the filter element is completely clogged. The valve opens the side passage of oil, bypassing the oil filter, which protects the engine bearings from chafing caused by insufficient oil.

Replacement filters can only be of the same type. The filter can only be tightened by hand. Lubricate the filter gasket with oil before installation. Follow the instructions for use on the housing of each filter exactly.
