Using a special Facom or SAM-Lauravia type wrench or a belt, unscrew the oil filter housing. Wipe the filter seat with a lint-free cloth.
Lubricate the new filter gasket with oil. Screw in the oil filter until it touches the cylinder block, then tighten it by hand an additional 3/4 turn. Tighter tightening can cause oil to leak on a hot engine.
