Removal and installation of a mudguard and crankcase protection

            0

The mudguard of the engine protects the engine compartment from contamination and is not a power protection for the engine crankcase.

NOTE: To protect the engine crankcase, as well as all components and assemblies located in the engine compartment, from damage by stones flying out from under the wheels, a plastic or steel shield can be installed on the car on request. However, it should be borne in mind that this shield is not able to protect the engine crankcase from strong impacts against large road obstacles (large stones, stumps, curbs, etc.), since in this case he himself may be damaged.

The mudguard of the engine and the crankcase protection are removed if they are damaged or to provide access to the components and assemblies from the bottom of the car during repairs and maintenance. Additional engine crankcase protection is fixed in each case individually (depending on its design).

You will need: keys "for 8", "for 13", "for 17", screwdrivers with a flat and cross-shaped blade.

1. Turn out bolts of fastening of protection of a crankcase of the engine.

NOTE: These locations are where the crankcase guard mounts are located.

2. Remove the crankcase protection by disengaging it from the holders on the body.

3. Turn out clips of clips of fastening of a mudguard of the engine to a forward bumper.

NOTE: These locations are where the engine mudguard mounts are located.

4. Remove the caps.

5. Remove the remaining screws securing the engine mudguard..

6….and remove the mudguard.

7. Install the mudguard and crankcase protection in the reverse order of removal.
