You will need: socket head "24", a screwdriver with a flat blade.

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Set the steering wheel to the position corresponding to the rectilinear movement of the car.

3. Remove the driver airbag module (refer to Removing and installing driver's airbag).

4. Squeeze out the latches..

5.... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the steering wheel.

6. Loosen the steering wheel to steering shaft bolt while holding the steering wheel from turning.

WARNING: Do not turn off the steering wheel mounting bolt completely, otherwise, when removing the steering wheel with your hands, you can injure yourself if it suddenly detaches from the steering shaft.

USEFUL ADVICE: You can fix the steering wheel from turning using the locking mechanism of the anti-theft device of the ignition switch. To do this, remove the key from the ignition lock and turn the steering wheel until the shaft is fixed with an anti-theft device. After loosening the steering wheel bolt, turn off the anti-theft device by inserting the key into the ignition switch, and set the steering wheel back to the straight-ahead position.

7. With sharp blows of the hands, knock the steering wheel off the steering shaft shank..

8.... and finally unscrew the mounting bolt.

9. Mark relative position of a steering wheel and a steering shaft.

10. Remove the steering wheel.

11. Install the steering wheel in the reverse order of removal.
