Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or lift.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Unscrew the nut of the positive starter power supply terminal and remove the terminal from the stud.
3. Unscrew the nut securing the power wire terminal of the traction relay (for clarity, the oil filter has been removed).
4. Move the wires to the side.
Note: This is how the nuts securing the wire terminals are located (for clarity, the intake pipe has been removed).
5. Remove the three bolts securing the starter to the clutch housing…
6. ...and remove the starter.
7. Install the starter in the reverse order of removal.
