Removing and installing the ignition switch (lock) (Focus 2)

The ignition switch (lock) is mounted on the steering column and secured with two bolts with self-cutting heads, so to replace it, you need to remove the bolts with a chisel or drill them out with an electric drill. The ignition switch (lock) can be replaced without removing the steering column, but for convenience you can remove it (see "Removing and installing the steering column").

You will need: pliers (preferably a welding clamp), a chisel, a hammer, a flat-blade screwdriver.
