Replacing the ignition switch (lock) contact group (Focus 2)

You will need a Phillips-head screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.



2. Remove the top…



3. …and the lower part of the steering column cover (see "Removing and installing the steering column cover").



4. Press the clamps…



5. …and move the contact group away from the ignition switch.





6. Squeeze the latch…



7. …disconnect the wiring harness connector and remove the contact group.

8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
