Replacing the ignition key lock cylinder (Taurus 1 and 2)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Turn the key to the "on" position.

3. Insert a 3.2mm (1/8") puller into the hole in the cast housing around the lock cylinder. While pulling the cylinder out, press the puller to detach the cylinder from the speaker housing (see picture).

4. Install the lock cylinder by turning it to the "on" position and pressing the lock pin. Insert the lock cylinder into the cylinder body. Make sure the cylinder is tightly seated and aligned with the lock washer inside before turning the key to the "on" position. This will allow the lock pin to enter the hole.

5. Check the ignition switch.
