            0

Note: This procedure applies to analog and digital instrument clusters.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. On tilt steering models, lower the steering column all the way down.

3. On 1986 models, lower the fuse panel and disconnect the speedometer cable from behind the instrument cluster.

4. On 1987 and later models, remove the ignition key cylinder (section 8).

5. Unscrew fixing screws and disconnect a cover of a steering column.

6. Remove dashboard trim panels (chapter 11).

7. Unscrew the fixing screws of the instrument cluster (see picture).

8. Remove the odometer return button (if there) and unscrew the body glass from the dashboard (see picture).

9. On 1987 and later models, disconnect the speedometer cable at the transmission (see picture). Move the cable into the passenger compartment to give it more mobility when you remove the instrument cluster in addition to the electrical connectors.

10. On models with adjustable steering column tilt, remove the column collar, then unscrew the two locking screws, then disconnect the gearshift lever movement indicator from the instrument cluster (see picture).

11. Push the block out and disconnect the electrical connectors, on models 1987 and later, disconnect the speedometer cable on the block.

12. Remove the block from the dashboard, then on 1986 models, disconnect the speedometer by going from behind and pull out the electrical connector (see picture).

13. When installing, partially put the unit in place and connect the speedometer connector and wires. Insert the indicator of movements of the gearshift lever, tighten the screws. Crimp the column properly with the cuff. On 1987 and later models, connect the speedometer cable in the engine compartment. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of assembly.
