Headlight Switch and Dimmer/Rheostat Replacement (Taurus 1 and 2)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the decorative panel of the instrument cluster (chapter 11).

3. Unscrew the switch mounting screws (see figure).



4. Unscrew the switch from the panel, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the switch (see figure).



5. Perform installation in reverse order.

Dimmer/rheostat

6. Remove the left decorative panel from the instrument panel (chapter 11).

7. Loosen the locking screws, disconnect the switch and pull out the electrical connector (see figure).



8. Perform installation in reverse order.
