Replacing the automatic transmission lock switch (Fiesta 2)

Disconnect the vehicle ground cable from the battery clamp.

Raise the car.

Remove the electrical wire from the switch.

Unscrew the switch. Screw in a new switch with a new O-ring (Fig. 3.56).

Note: The switch should be replaced quickly enough to prevent significant amounts of transmission oil from leaking out.

If necessary, top up the gearbox oil level to the normal level and connect the electrical wire to the switch.
