Examination


1. If the horn does not work, first make sure that the support bolt is securely fastened. Connect one connecting wire from the support bracket bolt and the negative terminal of the battery to the horn, and another connecting wire from the horn terminal and the positive terminal of the battery.

2. If the horn does not work and the battery contact does not spark, disconnect the connecting wires. Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise from 1/4 to 3/8 of a turn, then hold it from turning with pliers while crimping the housing. If the horn does not work after replacing the wires, replace it with a new one.

Replacement


3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4. On the back of the steering wheel, unscrew the two screws and disconnect the horn cushion.

5. Remove the horn switch from the steering wheel, insert the replacement unit, and install the cushion.

6. Disconnect the horn electrical connector.

7. Unscrew the support bolt(s), remove the horn from the vehicle (see figure).

1. Screw and washer.
2. Wire block.
3. Lower slope of the horn and bracket assembly.

5. Additional horn bracket upper slope (must be assembled before installation on the vehicle).

7. Front element.


8. Perform installation in reverse order.
