Replacing the ignition switch (lock) contact group (Mondeo 4)

You will need a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the upper and lower parts of the steering column cover (see Removing and installing the steering column cover).

4….and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the ignition switch contact group.

6….and remove the contact group from the ignition switch.

7. Install the contact group and all previously removed parts in reverse order.
