Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. With the parking brake applied, jack up the front of the vehicle and secure it on supports.
3. After disconnecting the wiring from the locking switch, unscrew the switch from the gearshift housing of the transmission.
Installation
4. Clean the switch threads and its location in the gearbox.
5. Insert the switch, inserting the new oil seal, and tighten it securely.
6. Connect the wiring, routing it away from the exhaust system components and so that the wires are not "caught" by the gearbox.
7. With the vehicle lowered to the ground, connect the battery.
