Fuel filter: in petrol and diesel engines it is installed in front of the fuel injection system. It filters liquid and solid ballast substances in the fuel.
Carbon filter: installed in the engine compartment, binds fuel vapors coming from the fuel tank. When the engine is running, the electromagnetic valve opens - then the bound vapors inevitably get from the carbon filter into the suction system and mix with fresh gas.
Fuel vapor absorption system: 1 - ventilation pipe from the fuel tank; 2 - activated carbon filter; 3 - cylinder head; 4 - intake manifold; 5 - electromagnetic valve for system control.
