Description of the diesel fuel supply system

            0

In a diesel engine, fuel is injected into the prechambers using high-pressure injectors created in the high-pressure fuel pump (injection pump).

The injection pump is driven from the crankshaft by a toothed belt. The injection pump is located in front of the engine under the camshaft drive cover

The fuel injection angle is controlled by the high pressure fuel pump.

You should not repair the injection pump yourself. If damaged, it must be replaced with a new one.

The engine fuel supply system is very sensitive to contamination. Therefore, all repairs to the system must be carried out in a clean room with the strictest cleanliness requirements.

The ends of disconnected or removed tubes must be closed immediately. For this, it is best to use special plastic nozzles.
