Description of the diesel fuel supply system (Fiesta 2)

            0

In a diesel engine, fuel is injected into the pre-chambers using injectors under high pressure created in the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP).

The injection pump is driven from the crankshaft by a toothed belt. The injection pump is located in the front part of the engine under the camshaft drive cover

The fuel injection angle is adjusted by installing the high-pressure fuel pump.

You should not repair the fuel injection pump yourself. If damaged, it must be replaced with a new one.

The engine fuel supply system is very sensitive to contamination. Therefore, all repair work on the system must be carried out in clean rooms with the strictest cleanliness requirements.

The ends of disconnected or removed tubes must be closed immediately. It is best to use special plastic nozzles for this purpose.
