Installation of injection pump

            0

So turn the injection pump shaft so that the dowel pin can be placed in the position shown in fig. 2.162.

Install the pump with the dowel pin screwed in and tighten the fixing bolts.

Install the belt pulley (drive wheel) HPFP and screw in the mounting bolts, but do not tighten them too much yet.

Make sure the dowel pin is properly screwed into the pump housing.

Install the drive wheel elongated hole accordingly.

Install the toothed belt so that its working (pulling) side was tense.

Loosen the tensioner and let it rest on the toothed belt. Check the belt tension and tighten the bolts securing the tensioner.

Remove the dowel pins.

Make two revolutions with the crankshaft and set it to a position close to TDC.

Screw the dowel pin into the motor housing. Rotate the crankshaft in the direction of rotation while the engine is running until the crankshaft contacts the pin (in the hole of the belt pulley).

Screw the dowel pins through the holes in the transmission pulleys.

Tighten the bolts securing the belt pulleys. Follow the rest of the steps in the reverse order of removing the injection pump.
