Lubrication system

1 - oil pan, 2 - oil supply pipe to the pump, 3 - gaskets, 4 - oil pump with bracket, 5 - oil pump cover, 6 - bypass valve, 7 - oil filter

Removal and installation of the oil pump

1. Unscrew the oil filter.

2. Unscrew the four bolts securing the oil pump to the engine block.

3. Remove oil pump.

4. Remove the O-ring.

5. Install a new O-ring.

6. Pour 10 cm3 of oil into the pump.

7. Install the oil pump.

8. Screw in the four bolts securing the oil pump to the engine block.

9. Screw on the oil filter.

Oil pressure check

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor.

2. Unscrew the oil pressure sensor.

3. Screw a manometer in place of the sensor to measure oil pressure.

4. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

5. Read the oil pressure at idle and at 2000 rpm.

6. If the oil pressure does not meet the required values (see subsection 3.2.1.2.6), then you should check in turn:
  • pump bypass valve;
  • contamination of the grid of the oil receiver of the oil pump;
  • fastening and throughput of the oil supply pipeline to the pump;
  • oil pump wear (excessive oil pump gear clearances).

7. Turn off the engine.

8. Disconnect the pressure gauge.

9. Screw in the oil pressure sensor.

10. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor.
