Replacing the metal-rubber bushing of the lever

1. Remove the suspension arm, to do this, unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the arm to the cross member of the engine mount.

2. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the castellated nut of the ball joint of the lever from the steering knuckle and press the ball joint of the lever from the steering knuckle using a puller.

3. Unscrew the nut securing the stabilizer to the arm and remove the front metal washer and front rubber ring.

4. Disconnect and remove transverse link.

5. Position special tool 14.027 in a vice to remove the metal/rubber bushing, control arm and corresponding auxiliary bushing.

6. Press the metal/rubber bushing out of the lever.

7. Dip a new metal-rubber arm pivot bushing in soapy water and place the bushing, tool and accessory bushing in a vise.

8. Press the metal-rubber bushing into the hole in the suspension arm.

9. Insert the arm into the suspension cross member and onto the end of the stabilizer bar.

10. Install the front rubber ring and front metal washer; tighten the nut securing the stabilizer to the lever to the appropriate torque.

11. Insert the ball joint of the lever into the steering knuckle, tighten the slotted nut to the appropriate torque and secure it with a cotter pin.

Attention! If, after tightening the castle nut to the appropriate torque, the split pin cannot be inserted, continue tightening the nut to such an angle that the split pin can be inserted (do not unscrew the castle nut).


12. Insert the bolt securing the arm to the engine mount cross member and screw in the new self-locking nut without tightening it.

13. After lowering the vehicle, tighten in two steps (see subsection 9.1.1) a nut of a bolt of fastening of the lever to a cross-beam of an suspension bracket of the engine.
