Removal



1. Loosen the wheel nuts on the corresponding side of the vehicle.

2. Raise and support the front of the vehicle and remove the front wheels.

3. Using a jack, support the wishbone joint.

4. Unscrew the bolts securing the suspension strut to the wheel steering knuckle.

5. Insert tool 14.026 into the recess of the steering knuckle and turn it 90°, loosening the lower…

6. Press down on the steering knuckle until the suspension strut is released, being careful not to damage the brake hose.

7. Hang the steering knuckle from the body so that it does not touch the brake hoses.

8. In the engine compartment, unscrew the plastic cover of the upper suspension strut mount.

9. While locking the shock absorber rod with a 6 mm Allen key and holding the suspension strut so that it does not fall out (another person will be needed to help), unscrew the nut that secures the upper strut to the body.

10. Remove the suspension strut downwards

Installation



1. Install the suspension strut in the appropriate place.

2. Insert the upper gasket and the upper strut mount nut.

3. Check the centering of the shock absorber rod relative to the body and tighten the upper…


3. Check the centering of the shock absorber rod relative to the body and tighten the upper mounting nut, holding the rod with a 6 mm Allen key.

4. Insert tool 14.026 into the groove of the steering knuckle and turn it 90°.

5. Install the lower part of the strut into the steering knuckle.

6. Remove tool 14.026.

7. Screw in the bolt securing the strut to the wheel knuckle and tighten it to the appropriate torque.

8. Bolt on the wheels, lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts to the appropriate torque.

9. Check the front wheel alignment.
