Front suspension

Withdrawal



1. Loosen the wheel nuts on the appropriate side of the vehicle.

2. Raise and support the front of the car and remove the front wheels.

3. Support the control arm pivot using a jack.

4. Unscrew the bolts securing the suspension strut to the steering knuckle of the wheel.



5. Insert special tool 14.026 into the cutout of the steering knuckle and turn it by 90°, loosening the lower mounting of the suspension strut.


6. Push down on the steering knuckle until the suspension strut is released, being careful not to damage the brake hose.

7. Hang the steering knuckle to the body so that it does not touch the brake hoses.

8. In the engine compartment, unscrew the plastic casing of the upper mounting of the suspension strut.

9. Blocking the shock rod with a 6mm hex wrench and holding the suspension strut so that it does not fall out (need someone else's help), unscrew the nut of the upper mounting of the rack to the body.

10. Remove suspension strut downwards

Installation



1. Install the suspension strut in the appropriate location.

2. Install the upper gasket and upper suspension strut nut.



3. Check the centering of the shock absorber rod relative to the body and tighten the top mounting nut while holding the rod with a 6 mm hex wrench.



4. Insert special tool 14.026 into the groove of the steering knuckle and turn it by 90°.


5. Install the lower part of the strut in the steering knuckle.

6. Remove special tool 14.026.

7. Screw in the strut-to-wheel knuckle bolt and tighten to the correct torque.

8. Screw on the wheels, lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts to the correct torque.

9. Check front wheel alignment.
