Examination

Warm up the vehicle's engine to normal operating temperature while the vehicle is in motion for a section of road approximately 15 km long.

Check the level in the compensation tank of the hydraulic booster immediately after stopping the engine.

Unscrew the cover of the compensation tank and wipe the level indicator on it with a clean, lint-free cloth.

Replace the expansion tank cap and unscrew it again. The oil level must be between the lower and upper marks on the dipstick.

Top up the oil level in the reservoir if necessary. Topping up should only be done with automatic transmission oil of specification FORD ESP M-2C-166H.

Be sure to add only new oil, as even the slightest contamination can lead to a malfunction of the hydraulic system.

After replenishing the oil level in the tank, start the engine and, with the engine running, turn the steering wheel several times in different directions until it stops. At the same time, air is automatically removed from the system.

If the oil level needs to be topped up. check the tightness of the hydraulic system of the power steering.
