The gearbox has three shafts, a classic design, four synchronized forward gears and an unsynchronized reverse gear. The drive shaft pinion and the driven shaft pinions are in constant engagement with the intermediate shaft pinions. Gear shifting is performed by connecting the corresponding pinion to the driven shaft. The gear shift lever is on the floor. Reverse gear is engaged by connecting the reverse pinion to two straight-toothed pinions of the driven and intermediate shafts.
