Spark plugs are used on Ford Fusion engines with a working volume of 1.25–1.6 liters NGK ITR6F13 (Motorcraft AGFS22IPG). As a substitute for engines with a working volume of 1.25–1.6 liters, spark plugs can be used BRISK RR15YС1 or DENCO PT16VR13. The gap between the spark plug electrodes is 0.7–0.8 mm.
1. Remove the air filter housing (see "Checking and replacing the air filter element").
2. Remove the high-voltage wire tip from the spark plug being replaced.
3. Blow out the spark plug wells with compressed air to prevent dirt from getting into the engine cylinder when removing the spark plug.

5. …and remove it from the spark plug well.
Note: Inspect the spark plug and assess its condition by its appearance (see "Diagnosis of engine condition by the appearance of spark plugs").
6. Use a round feeler gauge to check the gap between the spark plug electrodes. It should be 0.7–0.8 mm.
7. If the gap differs from the specified value, adjust it by bending the side electrode.
Caution! Adjust the gap only by bending the side electrode. Any bending of the central electrode will cause the spark plug insulator to break.
8. When installing spark plugs, first screw them in by hand (with a wrench without a ratchet), and then tighten them with a wrench.
