Lubrication of body fittings (Fusion)

To increase the service life of the body, lubricate the rubbing parts at each maintenance (at least every 20,000 km or once a year). If creaking or jamming occurs, immediately clean the relevant parts and then apply lubricant (the type of lubricant is indicated in brackets).

The body needs to be lubricated at the following points.



1. Door hinges (engine oil).



2. Door opening limiter mechanism (engine oil).



3. Door locks (silicone grease).





4. Driver's door lock switch cylinders…



5. …fuel tank filler caps…



6. …and the tailgate (silicone grease in an aerosol can).



7. Loops…



8. …and the hood lock (engine oil).





9. Outside mirror hinge (silicone grease in aerosol can).



10. Lock latch (silicone spray lubricant)…



11. …and tailgate hinges (engine oil).

12. Rubber seals for side doors and tailgate (silicone grease in aerosol packaging).

13. Rear seat backrest fasteners (engine oil).
