The arrangement of instruments, signal and control lamps in the instrument cluster is shown in Fig. 1.7.
1 – tachometer shows the engine crankshaft speed. The scale has divisions from 0 to 7, the division value is 0.5. To determine the crankshaft speed in min⁻¹, you need to multiply the tachometer readings by 1000. The red scale zone is a dangerous operating mode for the engine.
2 – powertrain malfunction indicator lamp. For cars with a manual transmission, the blinking of the indicator indicates a malfunction in the engine, and the engine power parameters deteriorate. Constant lighting of the lamp indicates the need to stop the engine.
For cars with an automatic transmission, the indicator light indicates a malfunction or temperature increase in the transmission. In this case, move the transmission selector to the "P" or "N" position and let the engine idle for 10 minutes.
3 – Electronic Stability Program (ESP) warning light. The indicator light indicates a malfunction of the system when it is activated. In this case, the system is automatically switched off. When the ESP system is switched off manually, the indicator also lights up.
4 – Airbag and seat belt pretensioner system malfunction indicator light lights up for 3 seconds, confirming the system is working. If the indicator lights up while driving, it indicates a system malfunction.
Warning! It is prohibited to operate a vehicle with a faulty airbag system.
5 – left turn signal indicator light (in the form of an arrow with a green filter) lights up with a flashing light when the left turn signal is turned on (synchronously with it). Flashing of the control lamp with double frequency indicates that the lamp in one of the left turn signals has burned out.
6 – coolant temperature indicator in the engine cooling system. The red zone warns of engine overheating. If the arrow has moved into the red zone, you should stop, let the engine cool down and eliminate the cause of overheating.
7 – Engine immobilizer indicator lamp (car theft protection system, prevents engine starting from an incorrectly programmed key).
Caution! If the indicator lamp does not go out when the ignition is turned on, turn off the ignition, remove the key and repeat the procedure. If repeated attempts fail to start the engine, contact a service station where they will help to eliminate the malfunction.
8 – electromagnetic fuel level indicator. The red zone indicates the remaining fuel reserve.
Warning! If possible, avoid driving on reserve fuel. Operation of the electric fuel pump without continuous fuel supply with air entering the system will lead to pump failure!
9 – right turn signal indicator light (in the form of an arrow with a green filter) lights up with a flashing light when the right turn signal is turned on (synchronously with it). Flashing of the control lamp with double frequency indicates that the lamp in one of the right turn signals has burned out.
10 – Low battery indicator light lights up when the ignition is turned on and goes out immediately after the engine starts. If the lamp is on or glows dimly when the engine is running, this indicates a lack of charging current caused by a faulty generator or voltage regulator, or weak tension (or breakage) of the generator drive belt.
Warning! Driving the car with the light on is prohibited, as, in addition to a completely discharged battery, this may indicate a short circuit in the charging circuit, which may cause a fire.
11 – Parking light indicator lamp lights up when the parking lights are turned on.
12 – High beam indicator lamp lights up when the high beam headlights are turned on.
13 – Icing hazard warning light lights up orange when the ambient air temperature is between +1 and +4°C. When the ambient air temperature is below +1°C, the indicator lights up red.
14 – speedometer shows the speed at which the car is currently moving. The scale is graduated from 0 to 210 km/h, the division value is 10 km/h.
15 – open door indicator light lights up if any door is not closed or not closed completely.
16 – Rear fog light indicator lamp lights up when the rear fog lights are turned on.
17 – Minimum fuel reserve indicator light constantly burns when the remaining fuel in the tank is about 6.5 liters.
Warning! If possible, avoid driving on reserve fuel. Operation of the electric fuel pump without continuous fuel supply with air entering the system will lead to pump failure!
18 – brake system emergency status indicator lamp. Lights up when the ignition is turned on and goes out after the engine starts. Lighting up of the lamp with the engine running indicates that the brake fluid level has dropped below the "MIN" mark on the reservoir of the master cylinder of the brake system drive.
Attention! It is strictly forbidden to operate a vehicle with a faulty braking system.
19 – button for selecting messages on the information display.
20 – liquid crystal display (Fig. 1.8). The top line 1 optionally displays the fuel range or hours, line 2 – the daily mileage, line 3 – the total mileage of the vehicle.
Depending on the configuration, an on-board computer may be installed on the vehicle (see "Trip computer"), then the functions of the on-board computer are displayed on the liquid crystal display.

21 – button for resetting the information display.
22 – Oil pressure emergency drop indicator light lights up when the ignition is turned on and warns that the pressure in the engine lubrication system is below normal.
When the engine is running, a lit indicator lamp and a constant (for 5 s) buzzer signal indicate insufficient pressure in the engine lubrication system.
Warning! Operating a vehicle with a faulty lubrication system can lead to serious engine damage.
23 – Electric power steering indicator lamp lights up orange when the ignition is turned on and goes out after the engine starts.
Warning! If the electric power steering indicator lamp comes on while the engine is running, this indicates a fault in the electric power steering that must be corrected. Operating a vehicle with a faulty steering system is life-threatening.
24 – Overdrive cut-off indicator lamp lights up when OVERDRIVE mode is turned on.
25 – glow plug indicator light (only for vehicles with diesel engine) Lights up when the glow plugs are switched on.
26 – Front fog lights indicator lamp lights up when the front fog lights are turned on.
27 – CHECK ENGINE indicator light. Lights up orange when the ignition is turned on and goes out after the engine starts.
Note. When the "CHECK ENGINE" warning light comes on while the engine is running, this indicates a malfunction of the engine management system (fuel injection system). This does not mean that the engine should be stopped immediately: the engine management system switches to emergency modes that allow the engine to operate under conditions close to normal. However, the cause of the malfunction should be eliminated as quickly as possible, since prolonged use of the car with the light on may lead to increased fuel consumption, deterioration of the car's traction characteristics and engine failure.
28 – Anti-lock brake system (ABS) malfunction indicator lamp. The lamp lights up orange when the ignition is turned on and goes out after the engine starts. If the lamp lights up while the engine is running, it indicates a malfunction of the anti-lock braking system.
Attention! In all other cases, the anti-lock braking system warning light indicates a malfunction that must be eliminated at specialized vehicle service stations, since in all cases braking occurs without the participation of the anti-lock braking system.
