Door locks — opening and blocking (Fusion)

The side door locks and the tailgate lock are unlocked with one key, which is also used to turn on the ignition.



The side doors are opened by pulling the outer…



…or an internal handle.



The front doors can be locked from the outside with a key…



…or the inner handle, pressing it until it clicks.





You can unlock the doors either by using the key (front)…



…or by pulling the handle towards you.

Note: The front door locks can be unlocked from the inside by pulling the inside handle.

Note: The rear doors can also be locked and unlocked from the inside using the inside handle.

Note: The front doors can only be locked in the closed position, but the inside handle can be pressed in any position to lock the rear doors.

Note: The vehicle is equipped with a central door locking system. Turning the key in the driver's door lock or pressing the inside door handle locks all doors.

The rear door locks are equipped with a latch that prevents the doors from being opened from the inside (child lock). If there are children in the back seat, with the door open, insert the key into the special hole in the door, turn it counterclockwise and close the door. In this case, the door can only be opened from the outside with the lock unlocked. To disable the child lock, turn the latch clockwise.





To open the tailgate, press the button located on the left side of the instrument panel above the lighting control unit…



…or insert the key into the lock, turn it clockwise…



…and lift the tailgate.
