Removal

1. Remove the timing belt. For more information, refer to the Removing and Installing the Timing Belt chapter in this section..

2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

3. Remove the pulley from the crankshaft.



4. Using the special tool, remove the crankshaft front oil seal.

Installation

1. Using the special tool, install the crankshaft front oil seal. Before installing the seal, apply engine oil to the crankshaft seating surface and the sealing lip of the oil seal.



2. Install the pulley on the crankshaft.



3. Lower the vehicle.

4. Install the timing belt. For more information, refer to the Removing and Installing the Timing Belt chapter in this section.
