Removal
1. Remove the timing belt. For more information, refer to the Timing Belt chapter in this section.
2.
CAUTION: Lock against rotation using special tool.
Remove the pulleys from the camshafts.
3. Using the special tool, remove the camshaft oil seal.
Installation
1. Using the special tool, install a new camshaft oil seal. Apply engine oil to the camshaft and the sealing lip of the oil seal.
2. Install the pulleys on the camshaft so that they can turn.
3. Install the timing belt. For more information, refer to the Timing Belt chapter in this section.
