Adjusting the iB5 Shift Cable (Focus 1)

General equipment: Drill bit, diameter 3mm.

1. Move the gear shift mechanism to neutral position.

2. Release the gear shift lever cover.

NOTE: Insert the drill bit correctly.

Insert a 3mm drill bit.



4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

5. Open the shift and selector cable cover.



6. Adjust the gear shift mechanism.

• 1. Unlock the gear selector cable (press in the colored insert).
• 2. Move the selector lever to the center position.

7. Adjust the gear shift mechanism (continued).

• 1. Engage 3rd or 4th gear (move the gear shift lever to the extreme right or left position).
• 2. Lock the gear selector cable.

8. Close the shift and selector cable cover.



9. Lower the vehicle.



10. Remove the drill.

11. Secure the gear shift lever cover.
