Special tool

Shift Lever Alignment Tool 308-273 (16-088A)

1. Disconnect the shift lever boot from the floor console.



2. Using the special tool, lock the shift lever.



3. Remove the air filter. See Section 303-12 for more information.

4. Release the locking elements of the shift cable (white color) and gear selector cable (black color).



5. Shift gearshift to neutral position (shift cable and gear select cable shown removed for clarity).



6. Adjust shift cable (white color) and gear selector cable (black color), by clicking on the blocking elements.



7. Install the air filter. See Section 303-12 for more information.

8. Remove the special tool.



9. Connect the shift lever boot to the floor console.
