Operating principle
The horn system consists of a relay, a switch located on the steering wheel, and one or two horns. The horn(s) receive voltage from the switched side of the relay, and the switch on the ground side of the relay is controlled by the switch located on the steering wheel.
The horn relay is located in the Central Junction Box (CJB) and receives DC voltage from the Battery Junction Box (BJB).
The steering wheel switch shares the steering wheel clock spring with the airbag electrical circuit, but each system operates completely independently of the other.
