WARNING: Avoid contact with eyes and skin; use gloves and respiratory protection. These actions should be performed in a well-ventilated room. Keep all doors and windows of the car open while working. Do not inhale vapors under any circumstances. Do not smoke and avoid open flames and unprotected light sources. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
NOTE: Odor eliminator can remove deposits in the heater body, but cannot prevent odors that are carried by the ventilation system, such as odors from damp floor mats.
Pinpoint the source of the musty or damp odor.
2. Disconnect the low pressure relay plug.
3. Turn on the ignition.

NOTE: All ventilation deflectors must be open.
Open all ventilation deflectors.
5. Set the temperature control to maximum.
6. Set the electric fan switch to maximum.
7. Set the air distribution regulator to supply fresh air.
8. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature.
9. To dry the system, turn off the air conditioning system and ventilate the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes.
10. Turn off the engine.

11. Remove the blower motor. For additional information, refer to Section 412-02A / 412-02B.
Only Ka, 1996 Fiesta and Puma
12. Remove the fan motor resistor.

Only Fiesta with particulate filter from 2002.25 model year
13. Remove the dust filter. For additional information, refer to Section 412-01.
Only Fiesta without particulate filter from 2002.25 model year
14. Remove the dust filter housing cover.
Only Galaxy
15. Remove the blower motor. For additional information, refer to Section 412-02A / 412-02B.
All cars
16. Fill the spray bottle with odor eliminator (240 ml).

WARNING: Do not exceed the maximum pressure of 13.5 bar. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
Use a tire inflation pump to apply 5.5 - 10 bar (working pressure) to the spray gun.
18. Insert the spray hose into the hole as far as possible, moving it towards the evaporator (Mondeo heater housing shown).

19. Move the hose and spray the odor eliminator over the entire surface of the evaporator
20. Spray all of the odor eliminator into the hole.
- Allow the odor eliminator to work for 10 minutes.
21. Install all elements back in place, acting in reverse order.
22. Start the engine, turn off the air conditioning system and ventilate the car for approximately 15 minutes.
23. Open all ventilation deflectors.
24. Set the temperature control to maximum.
25. Set the electric fan switch to maximum.
26. Set the air distribution regulator to supply fresh air.
27. Turn off the engine.
28. Connect the low pressure relay connector.
29. Ventilate the vehicle with the doors open for another 30 minutes.
