What can tell the type of tread

            0

Erased outer side (front tires): Fast cornering speed. Check the wheel alignment, turn the tires on the rims in the direction of rotation (In workshop) or swap with rear tires.

The outer sides are more worn than the middle of the profile: too low air pressure.

Beveled profile: incorrect wheel alignment, occurs mainly when only one tire is worn out.

The middle of the profile is worn out more than the outer sides: occurs when driving frequently at maximum speed. Tires bulge due to centrifugal force, so they wear more in the middle than on the outside. This defect is especially pronounced on the rear wheels.

Uniform washouts throughout the tread: presumably faulty shock absorber (tire dancing on the road).

Washouts on both sides (distributed around the perimeter): an unmistakable sign of imbalance. Carry out wheel balancing.

The tread is heavily worn in one place: brake «baldness». Occurs during interlocking braking only in vehicles without ABS.

Brake «baldness»: not possible with ABS

Wheel imbalance manifested by vibration of the steering wheel or trembling of the front of the car. The reason is the uneven distribution of masses in the wheels. Tires wear out quickly. Find a workshop as soon as possible and have your Focus wheels balanced.

Static imbalance (A): manifests itself even when the wheel is allowed to swing freely on a raised car: the center of gravity itself will move down. A wheel with a static imbalance bounces when moving, shock absorbers wear out faster.

Dynamic imbalance (IN): appears only at high speeds. The weighted area is not located in the central plane of the wheel, but is slightly shifted outward or inward. At high speed, the wheel vibrates and sways.
