Removing the brake master cylinder

            0

Before dismantling the GTZ, make sure that there is no vacuum in the brake booster. To do this, either disconnect the vacuum line from the brake booster or depress the brake pedal several times with the engine off.

Dismantling

Disconnect the battery ground wire.

Remove the air filter with exhaust pipe.

Disconnect all central connectors on the GTZ, including on the expansion tank cap, and unscrew the cap.

Empty the expansion tank.

Connect a hose to the bleed valve and drain the brake fluid into a suitable container.

Loosen the bleed valve.

Bleed the brake pedal until the expansion tank is completely empty.

Tighten the bleed valve.

Dismantle the brake pipes between the hydraulic module and the master brake cylinder.

Unscrew the brake pipes.

Remove the brake pressure relief valves.

Dismantle the brake master cylinder (two nuts).

Installation

Always mount the GTZ with a new vacuum gasket. Rub the gasket with a thin layer of petroleum jelly and clean the connecting surfaces of the brake booster, otherwise stray air can enter the booster and reduce the efficiency of the servo control or cause interruptions in its operation.

Mount the structural elements in reverse order.

Bleed the air from the brake system as described above.
