Dismantling the compensation tank of the main brake cylinder

PROCEDURE
  1. Disconnect the main fluid level sensor connector and...
  2. ...and unscrew the cap from the tank. After removing it, do not turn it over. This may damage the electrical contacts.
  3. Suck the brake fluid out of the expansion tank with a pipette or syringe.
  4. Carefully remove the empty reservoir from the brake master cylinder with your hands.
  5. Before installing a new reservoir, insert new sealing rings into the holes of the master brake cylinder. Moisten these rings lightly with fresh brake fluid beforehand.
  6. Carefully press the new reservoir into the O-rings. The tank should audibly lock into place. Next, pour in the liquid.
  7. Screw on the locking cover and check the operation of the warning light switch by pressing on the flexible center of the cover.
  8. Bleed the brake system.


    Teamwork: Two brake pistons work in tandem with the brake master cylinder.

    1 - Brake circuit pusher,
    2 — «Floating» main brake circuit,
    3 - Primary cuffs,
    4 - Separate cuffs.
