Brake Fluid Replacement

Provide your Mondeo with new brake fluid every two years. Special workshops will offer you a suitable filling device for this procedure. However, you can independently carry out such work - it is somewhat similar to the process of pumping the brake system. Approximately 1.5 liters of brake fluid is required to fill the entire system (consider the specification).

PROCEDURE

Suck out the old brake fluid from the reservoir using a pipette or a clean injection syringe. All other working steps are similar to those used when bleeding the brake system. At the same time, while working on the wheel brake cylinder, wait until clean fluid flows through the bleed hose. This condition can be recognized by the color: the old brake fluid has «milky shade».
