Replacing brake fluid (Fiesta 4)

            0

The brake fluid should be replaced every two years. Not only the risk of steam bubbles strongly recommends replacing the brake fluid, but also the possibility of corrosion in the brake cylinders and pipes due to moisture absorbed into the brake fluid. When replacing the brake fluid, you must act in the same way as when removing air. When replacing, you must have 2 liters of fresh brake fluid.

SEQUENCE OF WORKS

1. If possible, use a syringe or bailer to suck out the old brake fluid from the reservoir and immediately fill it with new brake fluid.

2. The sequence of replacing the brake fluid is the same as when removing air from the brake system (bleeding). Naturally, you must constantly add brake fluid to the reservoir. To do this, pump 500 cm³ of brake fluid through each bleeding nipple, which guarantees that all the brake fluid is replaced.
