Checking the brake fluid level

Pic. 14.8. Control lamp of insufficient level of a brake liquid

If the brake fluid level is insufficient, a warning lamp lights up in the instrument cluster of the Fiesta (pic. 14.8). If the brake fluid level is normal, the warning lamp goes out when the parking brake lever is released. If the lamp does not go out, the brake fluid level has dropped significantly. If the lamp starts flashing while driving, one hydraulic brake circuit may have failed. As a rule, the other brake circuit is working, therefore, being careful, you can drive to the nearest auto repair shop. It is in such a safety-critical system of a car as the brake system that you should not rely entirely on automation - from time to time check the performance of your car's brake system.

Maintenance and repair of the vacuum brake booster

Dirty air filter on the push rod of the vacuum brake booster. Use a wire hook to remove the filter from the stem. Cut the new filter halfway down and lay it in place around the pusher. Make sure that the filter is tightly located around the pusher, otherwise uncleaned air will enter the vacuum brake booster.

Malfunction of the membrane of the vacuum brake booster.
