SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. First of all, check the braking from a low speed of the car. If the braking traces are the same, then the brakes are working simultaneously. This also applies to cars with an anti-lock braking system, since ABS does not work at low speeds.
2. When the car is moving at about 50 km/h, release the steering wheel - your hands should be ready to take hold of the wheel again - and begin braking, first smoothly, and then abruptly until the car stops completely. When pressing hard on the brake pedal, you should feel the pedal vibrate when the ABS system is operating, this is normal. If the car pulls to the left when braking, then one of the right wheel brakes is faulty. The car pulls to the side of the wheel with the stronger brakes.
3. After checking, park the Fiesta on a gentle slope and roll it to make sure all wheels rotate freely. After a test drive, check the temperature of the wheel rims with your hand. If one rim is warmer than the others, the cause may be a jammed caliper or a constantly tightened parking brake.
