Removing the vacuum brake booster

Before removing the master brake cylinder, make sure that there is no vacuum in the vacuum brake booster. To do this, remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum brake booster or repeatedly press the brake pedal with the engine off.



SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Remove the brake master cylinder (the brake fluid reservoir remains on the brake master cylinder).

2. Carefully remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum brake booster.

3. Remove fastenings of support of fuel pipelines.

4. Hang out the fuel lines.

5. Turn away nuts of fastening of fuel pipelines.

6. Remove fastening of knots of system of adjustment of structure of the fulfilled gases.

7. Disconnect three contact sockets.

8. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a support.

9. Remove the wire from the support.

Fiesta vehicles with ABS:Disconnect the connector from the main brake assembly.

10. Turn away nuts of fastening of the vacuum amplifier of brakes.

11. Remove the vacuum brake booster.

12. Pull forward the vacuum brake booster.

13. Turn away a bolt and remove a clip from the vacuum amplifier of brakes.

Installation

Installing the vacuum brake booster is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Remove air from the hydraulic brake system.
