1. Unscrew the union nut securing the brake hose to the brake pipe (Fig. 14.15), then unscrew the other end of the hose. Unscrew the nuts with a split open-end wrench, using a second wrench to hold the brake hose from turning.

2. Most brake hoses are secured to the pipes using band clamps. When securing the hose, do not forget to install band clamps.

3. When installing the brake hose, first connect the side of the hose with the external thread, then secure the other side with the union nut.

4. Do not install twisted brake hoses. For control purposes, there are stripes located along the entire length of the hoses.



5. Remove air from the hydraulic drive of the brake system.

6. Make sure that the brake hose does not touch the moving parts of the front suspension (Fig. 14.16). After a long ride, repeat the check.
